Beppe Gambetta, an Italian acoustic guitarist in the flatpicking tradition, returns to the Grand Theatre after a performance in 2006. Gambetta’s music blends American roots music, particularly Bluegrass flatpicking guitar, with the sun and olive trees of the Mediterranean Sea around his native Genoa. Gambetta’s travels around the world have influenced his expression in music—from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to the Teatro della Erba in Milano and the Teatro La Comedia in Buenos Aires, Gambetta crosses continents with his international style.
